VALE Engineering high speed salt spreaders again pass Conformity of Production Audit
September 30, 2020
Looking for a salt spreader that you can tow behind a 4×4 this winter? VALE Engineering’s High Speed Salt Spreaders are generally considered to be the market leaders as they have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA)
We have just passed our Conformity of Production Audit for obtaining type approval. The audit was once again undertaken by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), extending our clearance for a further two years – the maximum possible. The ECWVTA is a rigorous test for trailers and applies specifically to the VALE TS500HS, TS1200 and TS1200DC models in our range. These are all designed to be towed or trailed, at high speed, by a suitable 4×4 vehicle whilst spreading wet or dry, brown or white salt. All are fitted with high quality braked axles and road going wheels and tyres, making them a popular choice with contractors, local authorities and facilities maintenance organisations. For more than 20 years, VALE Engineering products have all been designed and manufactured by the company in Yorkshire to meet or exceed all relevant British and European quality standards. VALE Engineering has developed and implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) in order to consistently satisfy customer requirements and ensure manufacturing and customer service are maintained at a high standard. A QMS is also needed in order to meet Conformity of Production requirements. This is audited every two years by the VCA in order to comply with ECWVTA type approval requirements. The QMS system covers the processes and procedures for the production of the company’s products and is considered the equivalent of ISO 9001:2015. All VALE Engineering designs are CE marked with an external consultant checking compliance against all relevant legislation and directives. This all means that you can purchase with confidence from VALE Engineering.
