New opportunities available at Vale in 2020

Marketing Executive

We are searching for a Marketing Executive to help promote our varied range of machinery which we manufacture at our York base. We supply a large range of machines which are supplied into many and varied industry sectors across the UK and Ireland. We have been manufacturing since pre 2000 and have grown organically with only a small amount of marketing and have as such a stable and strong company, we now want to turbo charge our marketing activity inline with our future business growth plans.

The role involves: -

  • Frequent Social media posts and updates
  • Monitoring and optimising our company Google AdWords Account
  • Liaising with our website designer and monitoring our website performance making changes where necessary
  • Designing and editing our suite of paper marketing material
  • Writing press releases and liaising with editors of relevant magazines and journals
  • Writing newsletters and bulletins
  • Reviewing inbound enquiries through the email and on the phone and adding them to our company database
  • Cleansing our database to ensure the data is cleansed, relevant and accurate
  • Organising trade shows and exhibitions
  • Liaising with outsourced business development providers
  • General office duties within the main office

About you: -

  • You will have had previous marketing experience either through a university degree or through employment, ideally you will have worked with a business who has previously supplied capital equipment to businesses and organisations
  • You will have had previous experience of Agricultural, Municipal or Grounds Maintenance Equipment
  • You are organised, methodical with an eye for detail and willing to bring forward ideas

 

Product Technical Support

We currently have a new position available for an individual who will play a large and very important role within both the aftersales support to our customers as well as supporting our manufacturing and servicing staff.

The role involves: -

  • Writing and updating handbooks and parts books
  • Working using our company computer system, creating and modifying bills of material and updating information
  • Using Solidworks to create parts books and update drawings where required
  • Speak to customers over the phone to resolve technical issues, taking ownership of the problem to completion as well as liaise with the servicing staff and sub-contractors to finish the work if required
  • Oversee the trailer type approval process and be the point of contact within the organisation and externally. Including generation of build sheets, PDI sheets and certificates of conformity.
  • Oversee CE marking of products in consultation with our external consultant
  • Work alongside the shop floor to resolve issues and update throughout the documents held within the company
  • Writing handover documents for Vale products

About you: -

  • You will be a clear thinking, and a logical problem solver
  • Have a good understanding of machinery ideally agricultural/plant or grounds maintenance equipment, including basic wiring looms and hydraulic circuits
  • Be able to express yourself in a clear and confident way when explaining things over the phone and face to face
  • Excellent reading and writing skills with the ability to clearly write instructions and communications
  • In-built desire to have things uniform and correct following a procedure/system and be accurate and see how changing one thing may impact on something else
  • Have a basic understanding of Solidworks
  • Be happy to occasionally get your hands dirty
